What are Millard's test scores?
ACT scores are consistently above metro, state and national averages. In 2008, Millard's average ACT score was 23.3 compared to 22.1 (state) and 21.1 (nation). More than 81 percent of Millard seniors took the ACT in 2008.

On the Terra Nova Achievement Test, students scored between the 70th and 80th national percentiles on almost all subjects (reading, math, language, science and social studies). This means that students in the Millard School District generally score as good or better than three-fourths of their peers nationwide.

On the State Report Card, Millard students performed at exemplary levels and far exceeded the state's average scores.

Can I transfer my child to another Millard school?
Yes, if space is available. Nineteen schools are open. The following schools are closed to transfers for the 2009-10 year: Ackerman, Black Elk, Neihardt, Reagan, Reeder, Rohwer, Upchurch and Wheeler elementary schools, Beadle Middle School and Millard West High School. Abbott, Aldrich and Ezra elementary schools and Russell Middle School will be open to transfer students on a limited basis. The enrollment of the freshman class at Millard North High School will be capped at 625 students. Applications will be accepted on a case-by-case basis if space becomes available.

Does Millard offer preschool?
Yes, parents have several options.

A parent-paid preschool program (located at several schools) serves children who are four by Oct. 15.

Our Montessori full-day preschool takes children as young as three-years-old.

An Early Start preschool serves children from low-income families.

If I don't live in Millard, can I send my children to Millard schools?
Yes, through the option enrollment program. For information, call 402-715-8300. Nineteen Millard schools are open for option enrollment students.
